The historic season premiere in happening tonight

The season premiere episode of Monday Night Raw will commence in a couple of hours. The stakes couldn’t be higher for the highly anticipated show with the Universal Championship match and Brock Lesnar appearance on Raw.

Here are the predictions for this high-voltage episode of Raw.

#6 AJ Styles successfully defends the US Championship

The champion stays strong.

Cedric Alexander attacked AJ Styles on Raw during the opening match last week on Raw. Not to mention, he made the “Phenomenal One” run to the backstage to save himself from the challenger.

Although Cedric looked strong last week, the time doesn’t seem quite right for WWE to have the US title switch hands. The OC would be looking to make an interference at the end of the match to save the day for the reigning champion, which could lead to another title match at Hell in a Cell PPV.

#5 Heavy Machinery wins the Raw tag team titles

New champs might be in town.

This could be one of the highlights of the season premiere episode of Raw. The challengers seem ripe to hold the tag team championship for the division. Not only will the title change cement the new talents on Raw, but will also ensure that Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode get back to the singles division.

Another fitting end for this match would be to have the Authors of Pain (AOP) to interfere in the match resulting in a triple threat match for the championships at Hell in a Cell.

#4 The legendary Miz TV

Could the Miz TV be more legendary?

The Miz will host the “must see show” this week with the legendary Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. This will ensure that fans are treated to a feeling of nostalgia as the legends speak about the great matches they had. This segment could very well open the show, which would set the tone for the rest of the night.

#3 Sasha Banks defeats Alexa Bliss

Banks will be the Business

The “Boss” has been on a roll since turning Heel. It is almost certain that she will make Alexa Bliss submit this week on Raw to gain momentum as she moves to her Hell in a Cell match against Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch, Bayley and Charlottle Flair could be interfering in this match. If this happens, it would turn up the intensity of the four-woman tag team match scheduled for SmackDown Live the following night.

#2 Kofi Kingstone could be waiting for Brock Lesnar on Raw

The beast returns tonight!

Brock Lesnar will be appearing on Raw for the first time after losing the WWE Universal Championship. Not to mention, he would be facing Kofi Kingstone the next night for the WWE Championship.

Hence, it is a good bet to expect that the reigning champion to be on Raw to return the favor for the last week’s F5 he received at the hands of the “Beast Incarnate”. Could we see the challenger having a “Trouble in Paradise” this week on Raw?

#1 Fiend interferes in the main event

The match could end abruptly.

Seth Rollins would be defending the Universal Championship this week on Raw against Rey Mysterio. The match will be a classic as both these Superstars have speed and agility.

However, it is too much to expect Rey Mysterio to win the Universal Championship at this stage of his career. In all fairness, this match is a perfect stage for the Fiend to make his presence felt once again on the flagship show. The Fiend could be the face as cameras stop rolling this week on Raw.
